Keith Urban “Graffiti U World Tour 2018” Coming To Grand Forks

Grand Forks, N.D.- At a surprise pop-up show last night in Nashville, Grammy Award winner Keith Urban announced his “GRAFFITI U WORLD TOUR 2018” with special guest Kelsea Ballerini. He took the opportunity to announce that his forthcoming album will be called GRAFFITI U.

The tour will kick off in June and will run through November, making stops in 58 cities, including Grand Forks on Sunday, October 14^th. Tickets will go on sale on January 26^th at 10:00 AM CST at ticketmaster.com, the arena box office or by phone at 1-800-745-3000.

“I’ve been full-on writing, recording, collaborating and creating with some incredibly talented people for GRAFFITI U, a lot of whom I’ve never worked with before” said Urban. “I can hear how some of the songs will translate live already, which really makes putting on a new show so exhilarating and I loved having our fans included in the announcement of the tour because it’s their tour too.”

Urban’s tour announcements have become events unto themselves, last night’s yet another in a line of conceptual tour announcements that have included production and performance previews, as well as comedic videos that have been copies since.

Open house for Kennedy Bridge Planning Study set for July 17

BEMIDJI, Minn. – The public is invited to ask questions and provide comments about the Kennedy Bridge Planning Study at public listening sessions on Wednesday, July 17, from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m., at the East Grand Forks Campbell Library (Tech Room), 422 Fourth Street NW, East Grand Forks, Minn. and Grand Forks City Hall (Council Chambers), 255 North Fourth Street, Grand Forks, N.D.

The open house includes two short presentations, at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m., and residents can review project materials and speak one-on-one with members of the project team, including the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the North Dakota Department of Transportation. Residents are encouraged to attend and learn about the project, discuss issues, and provide comments in an informal setting.

The Highway 2 Kennedy Bridge over the Red River is being evaluated to determine a long-term plan for maintaining this important crossing. A range of options are being considered and input from residents will be used to help define the objectives and potential impacts of the project by understanding the needs of its users.

Am Red Cross Offers Lifesaving Courses Grand Forks Area

FARGO, N.D. (Feb. 21, 2012) — Each year, more than 5 million people learn lifesaving skills in American Red Cross training classes and people in the Grand Forks area, can join the ranks of these everyday heroes by taking a class now.

The First Aid and CPR/AED course teaches people how to perform CPR and use an AED, what to do if someone is choking, and how to prevent and respond to other emergencies until advanced medical help arrives. Course participants also learn how to control bleeding as well as how to care for seizures and other sudden illnesses, as well as will be offered for specialization in pediatric lifesaving skills.

The Babysitter’s Training course will give 11-15 year-olds the skills and confidence to safely and responsibly care for children and infants, as well as so me tools to help them get started in their own babysitting business.

Caregiving skills take prospective young sitters from feeding to diapering and playtime to bedtime routines. Participants also learn how to handle emergencies such as injuries, illnesses and household accidents.
