MDA issues advisory to farmers with business ties to NW MN seed company


           St. Paul, Minn – The Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) is issuing an advisory to farmers in Minnesota and those outside the state who have sold grain to Anderson Seed Company Inc. of Mentor, MN and have not been paid. The MDA has received claims against the company’s grain buyers bond therefore initiating a claims process.

If a farmer has not received payment from the grain sold to the company, he/she should contact the MDA to obtain a form on which to file a claim. All claims, including copies of scale tickets or other proof of sale, must be received by June 5, 2012.
