Highway 75 bridge project, detour in Kittson County begins July 9

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Motorists will encounter a detour on Highway 75 between Hallock and Northcote beginning Monday, July 9, as crews replace a bridge and guardrail about one mile north of Hallock.

Northbound traffic will detour west on Highway 175 in Hallock, north on Kittson County Road 16, east on Kittson County Road 4 and then back to Highway 75 just north of Northcote. Southbound traffic will use the same route in reverse.

Motorists should allow more travel time and watch for the detour signs.

The work is expected to be complete in November, weather permitting, and will result in a safer bridge and guardrail.

Schroeder Construction is the prime contractor for this project.
