Resurfacing of Hwy 75 from Halstad to Shelly and Hwy 200 from ND to Halstad begin May 11

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Motorists on Highway 75 and 200 in northwestern Minnesota will experience lane closures and periodic delays beginning Monday, May 11, as crews begin work. Highway 75 will see resurfacing work from CSAH 19 just north of Halstad, to Mauritson Avenue in Shelly. Highway 200 will be resurfaced from the North Dakota border to 240th Avenue in Halstad.

Other components of the project will include culvert replacements, as well as storm sewer and ADA improvements in Shelly.

A one-week detour along Highway 75 one-half mile north of Halstad will go into effect May 18. Traffic will be detoured east one-half mile on CSAH 19, south one-half mile on CSAH 51, and then west one-half mile on CSAH 51 back to Highway 75.

The project is expected to conclude in mid-June, weather permitting.
