MnDOT urges motorists heading out for fishing opener to plan ahead, use caution in work zones

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota walleye fishing opener will bring out anglers from around the state this weekend and the Minnesota Department of Transportation is urging travelers to plan ahead and use extra care while driving through highway work zones.
Motorists may encounterbypasses, lane closures and detours resulting from the hundreds of transportation projects that are underway this construction season. MnDOT recommends that motorists think about alternate routes, call 5-1-1 or go to www.511mn.org to get advance information about road construction and detours, and be prepared for slower moving traffic.

·         Highway 61 in Forest Lake – single lane traffic
