Highway 10 lane closures in Detroit Lakes begin April 17

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. – Motorists on Highway 10 between Highway 59 and Summit Avenue in Detroit Lakes will encounter lane closures and a traffic shift beginning Monday, April 17, weather permitting.

Crews will remove and replace the eastbound bridge over the CP Railway line. Traffic on Highway 10 will be reduced to a single lane in each direction using the existing westbound bridge.

While the bridge is reconstructed, crews will also begin preparatory work to resurface Highway 10 between Highway 59 and Summit Avenue. That work will require additional lane restrictions and traffic shifts.

Lunda Construction Company is the prime contractor for the $4.8 million project.
Residents and business owners are encouraged to sign up for regular project email updates. A sign-up link is available on the project website, mndot.gov/d4/projects/dlwest.

The project will result in a smoother bridge and road surface.
