“Grants provided by the Minnesota
Lynx Foundation are a phenomenal opportunity for our organization to give back
to the community,” said Timberwolves and Lynx President Chris Wright. “The Twin
Cities community has always done an exceptional job supporting our
organization, and these grants are a great way to assist local organizations in
fulfilling their missions.”
During the 2013 WNBA season, the
Minnesota Lynx will give out $28,000 spread between eight separate grants to
organizations which focus on a specific area of charity. Four of the eight
grants, totaling $20,000, will be given from the Minnesota Lynx Foundation to
fund breast cancer research and support programs throughout the state of Minnesota Minnesota
