Pile #1 – Untreated lumber, plaster / sheetrock (small
quantities). No more than 1-2 yards;
toilets, sinks, bathtubs, shower stalls, tarpaper and shingles (also no more
than 1-2 yards); PVC plastic (small quantities).
Pile #2 – Small amounts of metal and steel items, lawn
chairs, and lawn mowers – push mowers only, small appliances, toasters,
electric frying pans, etc., barbecue grills, windows and doors, microwaves.
Pile #3 – Mattresses, box springs, couches, furniture.
Pile #4 – Household garbage, paper and cardboard
products, old clothes, etc., plastic items, small wood items with no metal
parts, wooden windows and doors with no metal parts, (please put in bags, boxes
or garbage containers).
A
crew from Al’s Disposal will be on – site to help insure proper separation of
items.

Special arrangements have been made with Wes’s Truck Shop for residents to dispose of their used tires at no cost. Residents must deliver their used tires to Wes’s Truck Shop facility located at 202 WestMain . Residents must register in the office before
they drop off their tires in the established designated area. Registration is necessary because the City of
Ada will be subsidizing the cost of disposing of these
used tires and only City of Ada residents
will be allowed to take advantage of this arrangement. Tires can be dropped off Monday through
Friday, during the month of May, the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. All types of
tires will be accepted provided that the wheel rims have been removed.
Appliances or “White Goods” Saturday, May 18th Only
Appliances or white goods can
be disposed of by residents free of charge.
Please clean out food or any other items that may be in the appliances
prior to pick up. Acceptable items
include refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, hot water heaters,
furnaces, microwaves, grills, lawnmowers, dehumidifiers, items with Freon, or
any scrap metal, etc. Free curbside pick-up again this year. You must sign up at City Hall by the morning
of May 17th. SPECIAL
NOTE: Businesses and contractors may not
add appliances to the piles. Remove all
fluorescent light bulbs and ballasts, also any food items from appliances
before disposal. Computer monitors and
televisions are not accepted.

Junk Cars and Large Metal
Junk cars will be picked up by Kel’s from Twin Valley or K&K Towing at no cost to residents. Interested residents need to contact the Ada
Police Department at 784-5510, to obtain the require release forms and any
further information. Also, large metal
items, wheel rims, and wire can be disposed of by delivering it to the compost
site during this week.
