DETROIT
LAKES, Minn. – The Moorhead rest area and tourist information center on
eastbound Interstate 94 will close intermittently during the next three
weeks for a resurfacing and accessibility project.
Crews will begin work Monday, Sept. 8.
When
the project is complete in late September, motorists will notice a
smoother road surface and improved pedestrian accessibility on the rest
area grounds. This project helps ensure MnDOT’s transportation system
will continue to serve the state for many years.
More
than 20 million travelers stop at Minnesota rest areas annually. To
find a rest area in Minnesota, use MnDOT’s website search tool to learn
about services and access at each site: www.dot.state.mn.us/restareas/find.html.
