Highway 197 Project in Bemidji begins April 15



BEMIDJI, Minn. – Motorists on Highway 197 in the city of Bemidji will experience daytime lane closures beginning April 15 as crews begin work along the eastbound lanes of the highway. Minimal delays should be expected.

Crews will be replacing and installing pedestrian curb ramps, as well as installing APS signal enhancements.  

Drivers are urged to slow down to posted speeds in the work zones, and to be aware of pedestrians and workers along the route.
