Public Meeting for Highway 197 improvements in Bemidji set for April 8



BEMIDJI, Minn. – The public is invited to learn more about the Highway 197 improvements in Bemidji at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8 at the Bemidji MnDOT Headquarters, 3920 Highway 2 West. 

Representatives from the Minnesota Department of Transportation will be on hand to provide information and answer questions about the upcoming construction activities.

Crews will be replacing and constructing pedestrian curb ramps, as well as installing accessible pedestrian signals (APS) along Highway 197 from 23rd Street to Hannah Avenue.

They will also be upgrading the signal at Irvine Avenue, and modifying some driveway entrances. Work is anticipated to begin in mid-April.
