(FARGO, N.D.) – The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) – Fargo District – would like to update the traveling public on the West Fargo Main Avenue reconstruction project. On Monday, May 7, traffic that is currently head-to-head on the south frontage – beginning at 17th St. E. and ending at 45th St. S. – will become a one-way traffic route. Traffic on this frontage road will be directed eastbound only, to provide access to businesses located on the south side of the Main Ave. corridor. Motorists using the south frontage road will re-enter traffic a block south of the Main Ave. /45th St. N. intersection.
South frontage road and south business access is marked with blue directional signs for motorists in surrounding area of the intersection.
The traveling public should use caution and reduce their speed when driving through the work zone. Motorists should allow extra distance between their vehicles and the vehicles in front of them, use extra caution and obey flaggers and posted signs. Speeds are reduced to 25 mph within this work zone.
