BEMIDJI,
Minn. – Motorists on Highway 1 and Highway 317 in western Marshall
County will experience daytime lane closures through Thursday, May 29,
as crews conduct routine bridge inspections along the Red River.
Workers
will be inspecting the Oslo Bridge on Highway 1 on Wednesday, May 28,
and the Highway 317 bridge on Thursday, May 29. Workers will be present
from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Flaggers will be present, with
short-term delays expected. Over-width vehicles will experience longer
delays.
Drivers are urged to slow down to 55 mph in the work zones.
Crews
inspect bridges every two years to ensure that they are in good
condition. They will use specialized equipment to look for cracks,
damage and other issues.
