A Mini Art Exhibit sponsored by the Northwest
Regional Arts Council (NWMAC) will be traveling to seven regional
libraries in the coming months. The NWMAC's annual Regional Exhibit held
in Middle River, Minnesota in April provided the fifteen impressive
pieces of artwork for our annual Traveling Mini Art Exhibition.
The
Traveling Mini Art Exhibit includes original paintings, photography,
drawings, pastel, prints, and clay pottery. Several of the artworks are
award winning pieces selected by the show’s juror, Mary Therese of
Bemidji, Minnesota.
Artists whose
work was chosen for the mini exhibition are (adult artists): Alberta
Johnson, and Jan Osborn, Thief River Falls; Mollie Rae Miller, Roseau;
Susan Neufeld, Beltrami; Annethea Novacek, Greenbush; and (student
artists): Brandi Lee, Halstad; Jaydn Rosell, Climax; Samantha Kraulik,
Wannaska; Caleb Richardson, Thief River Falls; Elijah Neufeld, Beltrami;
Skye Tillotson, Ada; Kiara Anderson, St. Hilaire; and Bryan Sanchez,
Julie Ibanez, and Brooke Panzer, all of Crookston.
The
Traveling Mini Art Exhibit will be appearing at Crookston's Public
Library until Wednesday, June 4th. Afterward, the exhibit will be open
to the public at the following libraries during regular hours on the
following dates:
- Climax Public Library June 5 – June 26
- Hallock Public Library June 26– July 25
- Thief River Falls Public Library July 25 – September 5
- Fosston Public Library September 5 – October 3
- Roseau Public Library October 3 – November 7
- Warren Godel Library November 7 - December 3
